Easter Fun – Cyber and Not

Easter fun doesn’t just have to be for kids. A kid at heart, and hopefully always to be one, I still get a kick out of silly little things. Sometimes there’s a nostalgic element, like decorating eggs with those little colour pellets dissolved in vinegar. Other times it’s something new, like this semi-mindless, free Easter egg game I happened upon as I was searching for Easter themed games.

Easter Egg Swap

Easter Egg Swap is addictive along the lines of solitaire or FreeCell. With a grid of differently decorated little Easter eggs, you click on two mini eggs next to each other, either vertically or horizontally, and get points by creating lines of 3 or more Easter eggs of the same pattern. Simple enough, but because the grid keeps being replenished with new eggs as you assemble your groups, the egg patterns keeps changing. No major brain power required, but sometimes that’s welcome. Just enough searching for patterns, and being entertained by subtle little sounds as the eggs rearrange themselves. You can kind of zone out while enjoy a relaxing few Easter moments.

And if the virtual Easter just isn’t enough, and you need some non-cyber world fun, then what’s better than chocolate? I hope you have some wherever you are right now. If not, here’s one of my favourites that you might want to look for next time you’re shopping for necessities. Green & Black’s organic dark chocolate with 85% cocoa. They say dark chocolate in the 70% range is the healthy kind, so just imagine how good 85% must be. It certainly adds another dimension of flavour. With a real snap when you break a bar, it melts ever so smoothly in your mouth, with this incredibly full bodied flavour. Impossible to really describe.

In the mood for something really different, and extra good for you too? “The raw Cacao Bean is one of nature’s most fantastic superfoods due to its mineral content and wide array of unique and varied properties. Since many of the special properties of cacao are destroyed or lost by cooking, refining, and processing, we feel that planet Earth’s favorite food is still unknown to most of us. Now we get to reconnect with the power of real chocolate: raw Cacao Beans.” Click on the image below to explore Sunfood.com and enter a search for ‘cacao bean’ – they’ve got about 180 different products with the little bean.

I wonder what eating a cacao bean with a coffee bean would be like…I’ll have to try that. Maybe we could have coffee coated cacao beans too.
