    WePad to Compete with iPad

    WePad to Compete with iPad

Choice is good. Both in terms of the act of choosing and as a range of options from which to choose. That’s why I’m so glad to see more and more different tablet computers entering the market. Many owe their success and greater notoriety to Apple. Just as they did with the iPhone, they have  Continue reading...

Dream Cube at the World Expo 2010

Dream Cube at the World Expo 2010

Building better cities for the future is part of the theme of the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. Integral to this is the idea of transformation. One building in particular caught my attention. Designed by ESI Design, the 40,000 square-foot Shanghai Corporate Pavilion opens tomorrow May 1st 2010, and is known as the “Dream Cube.”  Continue reading...

What’s New As We Hit Post 100 Today

Hard to believe it’s already been a hundred days and a hundred posts since I started this blog. And yet at the same time, I almost can’t remember not writing here daily. Of course what does that say about my memory then? But once you start doing something you place great value on, as I  Continue reading...

Happy Earth and Avatar DVD Release Day

Happy Earth and Avatar DVD Release Day

A couple of days ago, I listed a few companies with special Earth Day offers, noting the irony of consumption on this occasion. Speaking of other marketing campaigns, here’s one tailor made for Earth Day. The April 22nd 2010 release of Avatar on DVD and Blu-ray. It almost seems designed for Earth Day connections from  Continue reading...

    Special Offers this Earth Day…Week

    Special Offers this Earth Day…Week

As Earth Day approaches, many companies are offering incentives to buy green products. While obviously a marketing/business decision, this one does serve a double purpose. Many of us tend to wait for sales or other kinds of discounts like coupons and special offers to save some money, but these green sales also expose us to  Continue reading...

iPad Gets Feline Seal of Approval

iPad Gets Feline Seal of Approval

I just found something new going for Apple’s iPad. It’s got the kitty seal of approval, as evidenced by Iggy the cat who investigates the iPad in the video below. Only makes sense though that cats should approve of computers in general, what with that whole mouse thing. Good thing the iPad’s glass screen is  Continue reading...

Titanic Sank 98 Years Ago Today

Titanic Sank 98 Years Ago Today

If there had been no iceberg in its path 98 years ago, we likely would hardly even remember the name Titanic. But there was, and we do. Some of us maybe think of it more than others, but it’s forever in our history as the ship that couldn’t sink, but tragically did. It’s seems rather  Continue reading...

    Powerless…A Great Comfort

    Powerless…A Great Comfort

Anthony Hopkins just has a way of saying things, and I’m talking beyond the famous Hannibal Lecter Chianti line. One phrase that has stayed with me, and that I can still hear in my head at will, is from Meet Joe Black. As Bill Parish at his birthday celebration, he muses to his guests, “Sixty-five  Continue reading...

Today’s Smallest and Cutest Flash Drive

Today’s Smallest and Cutest Flash Drive

What is it about size? Some things we want as big as possible, a house or bank account for G-rated options, but for others we want them as small as they can get. Electronic devices seem a prime example, except of course for those big screen TVs that fall into the former category of bigger  Continue reading...

    Palindrome of the Lost Generation…Not

I was sent a cool little video that’s bit of a different take on the traditional palindrome. Instead of the usual Madam, I'm Adam letter by letter technical palindrome, this 1 minute 44 second video is palindromic line by line. It takes the idea of word-order palindromes to another level with whole lines getting reversed here. While listening, it’s even more effective and impressive to read along as the words scroll by. I liked not trying to think ahead, or read ahead; trying not to  Continue reading...
