In the wonderful world of the internet, jokes and videos get passed around so much that we can become almost oblivious to forwards, passing over them almost without a thought. There’s always the chance with that tactic however, that we may miss something we might enjoy. Also a possibility in the land of forwards, is that they get passed around so much that one comes back to you that you’ve already seen and sent along yourself.
This brings me to a forwarded video I’m glad I opened; one that I hope is as new to you as it is to me. Slovenian jazz choir Perpetuum Jazzile performs their a cappella version of the Toto song, Africa. In this clip, they simulate the sounds of a rain storm with their hands, with a few jumps up and down as the storm grows.
While it can be fascinating to watch what they are doing, I particularly enjoyed closing my eyes so my mind wouldn’t work against me, and tell me it wasn’t really rain I was hearing. I could actually feel like I was listening to the gentle little pitter patter of those first few water drops on a lazy afternoon.
They also found a way to have the rain grow and become a storm in quite a realistic way I thought. Nice too that everything calms by the end. So if you feel like transporting yourself to enjoy a brief little rain storm, tucked cozily inside with your computer, here’s Perpetuum Jazzile and their talented hands.
