If you were looking for Elizabeth Ely’s Harp Page (my previous incarnation as a harpist) it’s alive and well offering sound clips, CDs, and little harp ramblings just as before. However, it’s address is now www.elizabethely.com/harp
What you will now find at www.elizabethely.com aka Elizabeth Ely dot Com are the wanderings of my mind – a scary thought indeed.
I am reminded of the saying, “We are born alone, we die alone, and in between we try to feel a little less alone.” I can’t remember who originally said that, if anyone out there knows… Anyway, I think one of the greatest ways to feel less alone, and in fact to be less alone, is communication in its many forms.
So, here we are, post number one on my blog. What I hope will also be a two way conversation with you out there in cyberland. We’re just getting started here, so check back for added features and design changes and goodness knows what else.
Look for daily updates ranging from musings about life in general to alternative medicine to technology (finally entered the MP3 world and loving it) to animal health to frugal living to organic food to people and politics to whatever else happens to come to mind. Comments are always welcome, and I thank you for taking a bit of your day to visit Elizabeth Ely dot Com.
Hindrek, you have been, and always shall be, such a terrific fount of information. Thanks for the heads up about Orson Welles. Checked it out and sure enough (was there ever any doubt?) that's who I was paraphrasing. Thanks again.
Thanks everyone for the wonderful replies and comments both here and via email – all very much appreciated. The internet never fails to amaze me. This time it's thanks to having this venue, and avenue, to connect and communicate. Cheers!
Fantastic! What a great way to connect! Thinking the quote is by Orson Welles….“We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone.” or Voltaire perhaps….?
Hey Elizabeth, great to hear from you. I'll be lurking near by
Wendell.
