One of the great things about kids and animals are there automatic and uninhibited reactions to things. I think that’s one of the reasons we love watching animals and little kids enjoy the world. And hopefully it’s not just vicariously enjoying their silly fun, but making it our own as well, remembering how fun it

Ready for another animal friends video? This one features another unexpected pairing – a cat and a rat. There’s a couple of rats actually, but one seems particularly affectionate and intrigued by this feline. In all fairness, Ranj the rat seems to be rather more interested in Peanut the cat, than the other way around

I realized it’s been a little while since I blogged about videos of adorable animal friends. So hopefully you’re more than in the mood for another cute animal pairing. I know there are near countless cute ones out there, but this one seems to be an extra special love fest. That’s really the best way

We hear about good oils and bad oils – the eating kind not the crude kind – as they relate to our health. And we hear about the bad done to our planet because of the latter, but not usually the former. But it turns out great damage is being done to the planet due

The unexpected interactions among animals, at least as far as we’re concerned, continue to amaze and delight those of us lucky enough to see their antics, and often just their everyday cute behaviour. Whether it’s that

On Friday, NBC announced it was cancelling Law & Order, the original version that started it all. While perhaps not of earth shattering importance in the grand scheme of things, I have watched the show faithfully ever since it began 20 years ago. That ties Gunsmoke as the longest-running prime time drama. Of all prime

People take advantage of us. Not something I like to think of, but probably faced by all of us from time to time. But do we bear some of the responsibility too? Do we allow ourselves to be taken advantage of? Like that adage, “Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on

I just saw an incredible clip of Jean-Michel Cousteau commenting on that tragedy at SeaWorld, and so want to share it below. In 2 minutes, he provides so much information and understanding of the situation, all intercut with video of orcas both free in the ocean, and captive in tanks. I have no words, but

For cats and birds, no expression connecting the two immediately comes to mind. We’ve got the ‘fight like cats and dogs’ one that has so often been disproved a la Animal Friends style, or even the Wizard of Oz line paraphrased for Lion, Tiger, and Bear… But for the furry and the feathered? Maybe none
