One of the great things about kids and animals are there automatic and uninhibited reactions to things. I think that’s one of the reasons we love watching animals and little kids enjoy the world. And hopefully it’s not just vicariously enjoying their silly fun, but making it our own as well, remembering how fun it

Ready for another animal friends video? This one features another unexpected pairing – a cat and a rat. There’s a couple of rats actually, but one seems particularly affectionate and intrigued by this feline. In all fairness, Ranj the rat seems to be rather more interested in Peanut the cat, than the other way around

I realized it’s been a little while since I blogged about videos of adorable animal friends. So hopefully you’re more than in the mood for another cute animal pairing. I know there are near countless cute ones out there, but this one seems to be an extra special love fest. That’s really the best way

For many reasons I’ve always really liked that ‘be childlike not childish’ adage. I wonder where, or should I say when, we tend to lose that innate wide-eyed innocence and sense of fun that is hopefully typical of childhood. I’m guessing as with most things, it’s due to a combination of factors. Just growing up

As promised yesterday, here’s a fun and simply feel good post. As luck would have it I was just sent this little video today – talk about providence.
The unexpected interactions among animals, at least as far as we’re concerned, continue to amaze and delight those of us lucky enough to see their antics, and often just their everyday cute behaviour. Whether it’s that

I’ve written previously about feeding whole prey instead of commercial or even homemade pet food, and the many advantages I’ve seen both first hand, and ones that just intuitively make sense to me. Ground whole animal patties are a great alternative, but from a feline perspective, they just don’t sell patties of whole ground mice,

Hard to believe it’s already been a hundred days and a hundred posts since I started this blog. And yet at the same time, I almost can’t remember not writing here daily. Of course what does that say about my memory then? But once you start doing something you place great value on, as I

Life is best when you and your loved ones all feel great. Nothing drives this point home more than when one member falls ill. And this subject is always easier to discuss when the former is your reality. Sometimes it’s easier to prepare ahead of time for what may lie ahead, for like it or
